Avient 85370 ASI Pale Gold Shimmer LC is a ready-to-use specialty plastisol screen printing ink designed to produce a brilliant pale gold metallic shimmer effect on printed garments. Formulated with fine-to-medium metallic flakes, the ink creates an eye-catching reflective finish while maintaining a smooth surface and soft printed feel.
Designed for professional textile screen printing, Pale Gold Shimmer combines premium metallic visual impact with excellent fabric adhesion, stretch properties, and wash durability. It can be printed on 100% cotton, blends, and select synthetic fabrics, making it a versatile specialty ink for a variety of apparel applications.
85370 Pale Gold Shimmer can be printed directly onto suitable fabrics or over a flashed-dry base plate. When printing on fabrics prone to dye migration, a suitable bleed-resistant underbase or blocker should be used to help protect the finished metallic color.
The ink is supplied ready to print but can also be tinted with compatible plastisol colorants to create customized metallic shades. Avient recommends pigment loading up to 5% with Wilflex PC, 10% with Wilflex EQ, 15% with Wilflex RIO/MX, or 10% with Rutland C3 Boosters, with the final percentage adjusted according to colorant strength and desired saturation.
For multi-color designs, Pale Gold Shimmer should be printed in the final position whenever possible. If multiple screens must print after the shimmer, flashing after each print can help maintain the metallic effect. Consistent, properly tensioned mesh and an appropriate ink deposit are important for achieving uniform shimmer performance.
Because metallic particles reflect infrared heat, Avient recommends a forced-air dryer for curing. When using an electric dryer, additional dwell time may be necessary to ensure the entire ink film reaches the recommended cure temperature.

- Avient recommends an 86–110 threads/in mesh count for this product.
- Print Pale Gold Shimmer in the final color position whenever possible.
